Happy Friday Bees! I was just thinking about the gym and my general efforts to lose weight/be well. Sometimes weekends are a bit counterproductive on the fitness front, so I thought we could share some weekend fitness plans.
So what are your weekend fitness goals? What healthy habits do you have place going into the weekend? And what weekend pitfalls are you going to avoid this weekend?
Goals: Friday: Spin class tonight. Saturday: run 2-3 miles tomorrow to practice distance/endurance. Sunday – Rest Day!
Set up: Big pot of homemade soup is done and ready for the next few days, Made a big kale and quinoa salad, and bought a bunch of clementines and peppers for snacks (not together). No junkfood indulgence here!
Pitfalls: Lay off the Malbec! Don’t eat too many of those cookies you’re about to bake, give some to the kids when you see them tomorrow!

Goals: NO CHEAT DAYS THIS WEEKEND! I felt the need to put that in all caps!! LOL! I feel like I’m going to be cheating enough next week (I’m a US Bee), sooooo, yeah, sticking to the diet!
Set Up: I have a left over baked boneless skinless chicken breast ready to go in the fridge. We are going out tonight to celebrate SO’s ex roommate becoming a Dr….and there’s no real way around calories without being a party pooper. For that reason I’ve only had whole grain waffles for breakfast and tomato soup for lunch, so I don’t have to feel *too* guilty about dinner.
The rest of the weekened: Probably chicken salad, LOTS of salads and maybe some soup.
Pitfalls: Lay off the Sam Adams!! LOL! On the weekends, drinking my calories is my only pitfall!!

@veryberry13: haha! Love the caps, I feel the same way! I think your dinner will be great, given that you didn’t eat everything in sight today already. I’m glad I’m not the only one with a huge weak spot for booze.
Oh man, next week. Yeah, there’s going to be so much cheating. I’ve made my peace with Thursday though, but am going to make sure to hit the gym almost every day to help counterbalance it.
Oh yeah! I’ve also decided that I’m going to put half of the cookie dough in the freezer and bake them for thanksgiving next week. I forgot how much dough one batch makes – seriously, like 75-80 cookies! There’s no way I can give that many away in just the next few days.

@Mrs.LemonDrop: I will have to check these out! I’m totally in a cranberry phase right now!!

@veryberry13: They are super good. I used clementines instead of regular oranges. I think the next time, I’ll use applesauce instead of most of the butter to cut some calories out. But I didn’t have any ‘sauce this time so butter it was.

I hit the gym M-F, but I try to get 30 minutes of continuous walking on Saturday and Sunday! (Other wise I will sit my big butt on the couch and eat nachos all weekend)
But I also have an appointment for a butt shot tomorrow. And if I’m sore, I won’t walk! So I’m going to be tough and power through it!

@BrandNewBride: Eesh good luck with the shot! Lol, so I take it BabyNewBride is fond of nachos?
Spin class was great tonight, so I can check that off the list!

@Mrs.LemonDrop: BabyNewBride loves ALL the bad food! Nachos, pizza, milkshakes… (And while I like those things, I never wanted them before I was pregnant! I swear!)
Congrats on making it to your spin class! Way to go!
