- Wedding: August 2012
I used to be a circus performer – no, seriously, I did. I used to travel with my parents’ circus and perform until 2004 when they closed their business. Every single circus performer I have ever discussed dreams with have had circus nightmares: wearing the wrong costume, losing a costume, forgetting to wear anything at all, falling from a trapeze, getting attacked by a baboon, you name it. Although I haven’t performed for quite a while (I’m a full time college student now), I used to get plenty of circus nightmares. But they have recently been replaced by an increasingly large number of wedding nightmares: forgot my dress, got ready too late, venue wasn’t ready in time, guests forgot to attend, can’t find the best man etc.
I’ve been getting pretty good at lucid dreaming lately, but I can’t seem to dream about anything wedding-related that is positive (if you are not familiar with lucid dreaming: http://science.howstuffworks.com/environmental/life/human-biology/lucid-dreaming.htm). I find this strange because FH and I are very much excited about our wedding and honeymoon. Although I have some nerves about things (or at least most things) turning out as planned, I can’t wait to get married to my partner of over seven years. I just wish I could have some wedding “dreams” instead of nightmares. Hopefully I’ll have one soon.
Have you ever had any pleasant wedding dreams?
