Yes i am! i love fruit cake and i’m already having a really nice dessert so i don’t there is  a need to have mudcake. also you can keep the top tier and cut it on your first wedding anniversary.

I like fruitcake fine (most people don’t and it’s a perpetual joke in the U.S. that no one anywhere eats it) but it won’t be part of our wedding cake.

However, US fruitcake (served only at Christmas) and British fruitcake (traditional wedding cake flavor) are entirely different things.

Our whole cake was fruit cake (British fruit cake). Seeped in masses of rum. It was gorgeous.

@Ember78:  I never knew there were two kinds of fruit cake….can you explain the difference?
