The year we got engaged, I planted a dwarf peach tree. It’s doing really well and now I’m thinking of planting another to mark our wedding year. Neighbors have apple, pear, and fig trees and they are all great, mature trees.
Anyone else have experience with fruit trees?

we have an average suburban house but greek & italian families so we have mango, pear, cumquat (sp?), fig, mandarin, orange, plum, nectarine, lemon, olive and blackberry trees in our front and back yards plus a veggie & herb patch (thank you inlaws!)
the number of times i have said to hubby “go get a lemon”, well it has saved dinner a few times so i vote lemon tree if it will grow in your area

We’ve always had apple and pear trees…and once they matured, the amount of pies and apple/pear butter we could make out of them was amazing!! The only problem was trying to mow underneath them, as they attracked bees like crazy from dropped fruit.

Oooooh, I’d love to have a lemon tree but it would have to come in each winter.
I’m leaning toward apple… We both love them.
