my FI and I are renting a beach house. Lots of people tend to do that in our area. You can have the ceremony on the beach in front of the house, and have a catered reception, plus you can have your wedding party/family stay in the house with you, and some people just ask the people who are occupying rooms to pitch in toward the rental cost. It can be very intimate and romantic. The house we are renting has a pier, so we are getting married on the pier. Is this a possibility for you?
@bunnyfoofoo:I dont know because of the buget that my mom has set for me. I might be able to do that and it does sound like a great idea!
What about St. Andrews State Park? We are getting married in Panama City Beach and we considered having our beach ceremony there. We ended up renting a condo and plan to have the ceremony there for convince. We also didn't go with a pre-packaged wedding from a wedding company. We hired an officiant and photographer and decided to use a rental company for the bamboo arbor and chairs that we will have set up on the beach. We have a dinner planned after the ceremony at Firefly Restaurant, they are very accommodating to wedding parties. They will let you decorate and bring in a cake. It is costing us a lot less money by hiring everyone individually instead of going with one of the wedding companies!

My fiance and I live in Panama City, FL. We are looking for a beach location that we can have our wedding ceremony on. I am having a difficlut time trying to find a beach. We don't have alot of money to spend on the wedding so we don't want to have to go through some place that plans out your wedding and everything is multiple choice (I guess that is a good way to put it). I would appreciate any help.
