@FleeSircus:  If the brother is “all about me”, he’s narsaccistic and can’t see what he’s doing.

Yes, it’s unfair. Just know in the future to pick and choose when to stick your neck out of them again

@FleeSircus:  You know what? I think you should call your FI’s brother and straight out ask him what he’s planning.

You can even remind him that HIS bachelor party meant so much to HIM that you know he understands.

Yes, it is amazing to me to hear stories where couples’ friends r lavishing attention and wedding excitement all over them, unless they r the first to get married. For example, I was the last of our friends (but longest engaged) and by that time, everybody ignored our engagement entirely, even the last few weeks leading up to the wedding. Some ppl only take and never give and it sounds like this may be the case. It sucks but it’s how ppl r. Maybe they will come through in the end and surprise u tho, that would be wonderful.

@FleeSircus:  If your FI doesn’t care too much about the bachelor party, I’d let that one go.  It sucks, but like a PP said, he’ll never admit to it not being fair.  The part that I’d push and think  you’re within your right to push is the rehearsal.  They’re family and are part of the wedding.  They need to sacrifice a bit for your big day, as you did for theirs.

@FleeSircus:  don’t accuse him of anything but flat out say something like “I know that FI came out to Chicago to do your bachelor party, were you going to do that or did you have something else in mind.” you cam even follow it up with a “let me know if you need help planning. I can get you the name of some great bars in the area if you tell me what you are looking for.”
