FSH/LH blood test…did it have to be CD3?!

I’ve always heard of baseline FSH/LH being done on CD3; I remember when we went in, my RE also suggested it could be CD2. FSH looks good; LH good; TSH is OK (did you have T4 done? That can put your TSH into better perspective…right now, your TSH looks like it falls in the “high normal” category); E2 is mid-range, but good; DHEA looks good.

All of these tests are tests that are ideal for CD 3, so I don’t think you have much to worry about there. My only concern with these is that you appear to have gotten TSH, but it may have been ideal for them to do your T4 too. If the T4 comes back low or normal, it could mean that hypothyroidism’s been causing your problems conceiving.

Peffy:  I’ve been on meds for months trying to get TSH below 2. <3 is normal if not trying to TTC but I’d ask doc about getting it below 2 now. As far as I know, even if T4 is ok you still need TSH below 2.

Peffy:  No idea! All I know is mine was above 7 last time I was pregnant and they said it can cause MCs and can cause the baby to be slower developmentally. I wouldn’t worry too much at 2.4 though as it’s not very high. Mine is at 2.8 now and she has upped my meds to get it under 2. I’d just talk to your doc, though, and go with what they say. Maybe they wont med as it’s only slightly high.
