I need your help bees. I'm getting married May 19, 2012. My colors are plum, magenta/fuchsia, and blush pink. I'm trying to decide on colors for linen. My reception hall is dark ( the walls are a dark wood). I originally wanted dark pink tablecloths in satin or pintuck and blush pink/ light pink satin chair covers. Would that be too much pink? Now I'm thinking champagne pinktuck tablecloths with champagne satin chair covers and bring color in with the napkins and flowers?

I wanted to bring in color to brighten up the space but I don't want it to look like a sweet sixteen birthday bash or be too overpowering. Can anyone give me some advice. Pics are welcome. I'm so lost. I want to order these asap.

@TJswifetobe:  I think with the darkness of the room, having lighter colored table linens would be nice.  Champagne linens would be more elegant, I think. However, fuschia would certainly be stunning, and dramatic.  It's mostly a question of whether you want the atmosphere to be lighter and brighter or if you want the drama that fuschia table linens would bring.  If it helps, below is a pic of our sweetheart table showing our pintuck linens, which were technically gold but I think they look like champagne. (Of course, our napkins were ivory, so, no bright color/drama or contrast there for you to see.)

I agree with PP, champagne or some sort of tan would be much classier and elegant. I'm seeing sea of pink in my minds eye if you did pink table linents PLUS pink chair covers! There are a LOT of grea tthings you can do to pink up the tables and brighten things up without doing linens.

The website I was going to order from has very limited stock on the champagne tablecloths. I've ordered a sample of their deep pink and champagne though. I'm thinking I'll go with watermelon for the tablecloth (the sales person said they are dark and not hot pink) and dark ivory self tie chair covers instead of blush pink. I'll try to post pics when the shipment comes in. Thanks for all the advice and keep it coming!
