I’m having mainly finger foods for our wedding buffet, but I would like a fun & creative build-your-own food station. Any ideas? And how could I go about doing it?
Also: there will be 40 – 50 people there, and it will ba outside in the fall.

Fajitas/burritos are always fun when you have a group, and there are loads of choices for different fillings you could have.

We’re doing popcorn with different seasonings and mix-ins, ice cream sundaes if the weather is appropriate to it, and s’mores if we can get permission from the venue to light a fire for the marshmallows. I told my mom we should rent a soda fountain so people could make suicides, but she didn’t think that was funny or wedding appropriate, even though I told her we don’t actually have to call it a suicide station. If you have a way to keep them warm, baked potatoes are also good “build your own” food.

I second the burrito idea! You could also have nachos 🙂

What about a burger/slider bar? We are doing this for our late night snack and it comes with regular burgers, braised short ribs, pulled pork, and chicken tenders and all the toppings to make your own sandwich.

Tacos are fun. Sundaes, burgers, mashed potato, baked potato.
