Come to California! ๐Ÿ™‚ Shameless plug for my state. It won’t be too hot on the coast, I recomend monteray, pismo, santa cruz or san francisco. And there’s lot’s of mexican food here! lol

We went to Jamaica and it was pretty inexpensive.  Another inexpensive option is a cruise.  Not sure if you are in to cruises or not.  I’ve been to Mexico and that is definitely affordable, just be careful because I believe it’s hurricane season during that time.

I second California!  Great weather, tons to do, and can be budget-tailored as needed.

I second the above poster – cruise lines have taken a hit and there are a TON of great deals out there!! Lots include airfare too (or you can work it in), so if that’s up your alley totally a great option.

California is great, especially if you like wine!

Anything south (all inclusive) after a wedding is great. DH and i went to St.Lucia (Sandals) for a week and LOVED it. It was pricey but we most enjoyed the all inclusive part and a relaxing atmosphere (especially after spending 24/7 leading up to the wedding). I personally would not go to Mexico right now, but would gladly do any of the other southern destinations!

Best of luck, let us know what you decide! (and sorry you had a BBE – bad board experience ๐Ÿ˜‰ LOL)… hopefully we can change your experience!!

GA can be reallllly hot in the summer months. But if you head to the coast, there’s the ocean and neat places to see. Savannah is nice and Tybee Island is right there, and St. Simons Island, and then St. Augustine, FL isn’t too far from that.

Georgia is basically a sweltering sauna by June or July!!

What about Colorado? They have great deals on vacation rentals that time of year, and the scenery is stunning!! We rented a house in Estes Park and hiked the Rocky Mountain National Park. It was so great to be outside all day, but then have a hot tub and huge amazing kitchen to come home to!

We went to Cancun 3 years ago in the Spring and I thought we got TREMENDOUS bang for our buck. We rented a condo in the half condo/half hotel building on the beach and my jaw almost hit the floor when we walked it because it was sooooo pretty for only $100/night. It had a little kitchenette so we saved some money by eating in some breakfasts and sandwich lunches on the balcony. I know some people worry about safety in Mexico, but its a big country so conflict in one region doesn’t mean everywhere is really unsafe. I think the summer time is pretty hot there, but I don’t mind the heat if I have a beach and swimming pool!

We loved, loved, LOVED our honeymoon to Cancun in September and would go back in a heartbeat! We felt very safe on and off the resort. We even took cabs, etc. In Cancun at least, they not only have regular police but also “tourist police” that are just making sure the tourist areas are safe and no one is having problems. It was gorgeous, way less expensive than other destinations, and so romantic. We stated at Sun Palace, an adults only all-inclusive–it was so fantastic. Let me know if there are any other questions I can help with!

For a very inexpensive trip, you could consider a home exchange or http://www.brbo.com.

We love Cancun and the Palace resorts too.  They are fantastic! We have a membership that our daughter and SIL used for their honeymoon, and they loved it.  Another bee friend is going to possibly use it too ๐Ÿ™‚

We’re going to the Barcelo hotel in Puerto Vallarta – it’s about $200 a night for all-inclusive!! ๐Ÿ™‚  We’re so excited!

im not sure about inexpensive honeymoons since we havent planned ours yet.. but as some previous posters commented- CRUISE!!! you can find some amazing deals out there! depending on your budget you could take a cruise to the caribbean, or mexico, or wherever you wanted to go!! vacationstogo.com has this awesome 90day ticker with crazy good deals (if you dont mind waiting til the last minute, aka at least 90 days before, to book).. you can also search for specific cruises or other all inclusive options/resorts!

on a side note, i went to cancun for a week with the fiances family (back then just bf) and i felt safe!

We went to Savannah, GA for our honeymoon (mid June) and we loved it!! DH loves history so we went to all the historical places as well as the beach/cute shops for me.  It was really hot and humid, but we’re from the coast of NC so I guess we were pretty used to it.
