OK, here’s an example:
My boyfriend and I will often play a video game (like Smash Bros or even Robot Unicorn Attack) and whoever loses will have to set the table, or something. Or if we don’t know where to eat for dinner, we play for it and the loser has to make the decision.
Another fun thing we’ll do is a mock fight / wrestling thing and whoever gets the other person in a vulnerable position is the champion for the day and doesn’t need to tidy up or run an errand. It’s also good bonding.
These are fun little rituals we do sometimes, I’m curious if you guys have things like that you use to make working together go more smoothly!

@LurkyMcLurkyface: I LOVE super smash bros (on the 64)!!!! We have really similar tastes, so making decisions isn’t usually too tough for us. If my husband and I did this, we’d never leave the house because we get lost playing video games. I’m usually the one that cooks, cleans, sets the table, etc., because he works.

Ha, I’d lose every time, he is insanely good at smash. (He’s won con tournaments and everything.) For us it’s usually a coin flip (typically to see who will take the dog out) or rock paper scissors.

@housebee: The couple that plays together stays together, right?
@Bebealways: We’ve done coin flips when neither of us can decide something, too.
Usually our indecision results from us both being too nice. We each want to let the other person make a decision, or let the other person relax while we take care of things and it results in stalemates a lot, lol!

We actually had a great wedding gift from some friends – two Nerf guns!
The card that came along with it said it was to “settle minor disputes”. And let me tell you, we’ve only been married 10 days but we’ve never had this much fun in our relationship now that we have these guns! Soooooo fun to chase your DH around the house with them, and a good cardio workout too!
All my friends are getting Nerf guns for their wedding gifts from now on

We have a mini basketball hoop that hangs behind our front door. We will do a shooting contest…he always wins. But it’s fun! lol
