I'm an April baby and my birthstone is a diamond. I do love diamonds so it's nice to have it as a birthstone. Although it means I don't have a lot of "birthstone" jewelry.
Dang! These are really threatening... lol. I thought August's was a peridot...
@Minutiae: I'm a February girl and wear a lot of amethysts. My fiance is January and I also love garnets. We're getting married in April so I'll use that as an excuse for my diamond!

@All In: There are a lot of modern alternates. March is also now aquamarine, and June is pearl.

I had a lot of fun reading this and thought I'd share--ladies with non-diamond erings or birthstone jewelry should especially appreciate it!
My birthday's in May and my ering is an emerald: "Who first beholds the light of day/In spring's sweet flowery month of May/And wears an emerald all her life/Shall be a loved and happy wife." Perfect!
