Wedding Planning to Do List with Tips
1) Wedding and Reception Venues
Nail down your wedding and reception venues 🙂 (at least 5 months before your wedding)
2) Create Excel Spreadsheet
This will help you keep track of everything. Have the Fiance help with budget & address list.
3)Select wedding and brides maid dresses
It could take up to 4 months for your dress to come in.
Do not let david bridals trick you in to ordering a larger size dress – alteration costs $300.
4) Pinterest for Organizing Decoration Idea
This will help your Fiance get a better idea of your vision and he can help you find simular to what you want for cheaper.
Pintrest boad suggestions (wedding dress, wedding decorations, wedding cake, wedding photos,and when your all done wedding decided.
5) Gather Addresses
Have your folks and friends text and email you addesses for your invite list, save to excel file
6)Grour Rate for Hotel Reservations
Have your dad make a group hotel reservations for your guest who are coming from far. If you have over 15 guest staying at the hotel you can negotiate with the hotel manager so that the bridal suit is free and get a free meeting ( reception/rehersal dinner)room. Hotel reservations should be made atleast 4 months in advance.
7) Make your own Inventations
If your good with Word or Publisher make your own inventaions, save it on a thumbdrive and have it professionally printed. Staples has a copy center. You can design your Save-the-date on a business card at their website. In total we spent $200 for color invitations and datesave,postage and confetti, and see through address lables).
Use Myregistry.com to post and sort wedding gift ideas. Catagory suggestions:traditional wedding gifts, kitchen, home maintenance (your Fiance can do this on),entertainment, sports, clothing, and other.
