(Closed) Fundraising in conjuction with wedding?

Perhaps you could use your favor as the donation? (Instead of a favor at each place setting, a note saying "A donation has been made in your name to…").  Another idea is to put it as part of your registry.  Good luck!

I like the sentiment and definitely support our troops… but I would suggest going with a donation favor in lieu or in addition to regular favors. i think that if you begin to solicitate donations, it may make some guests uncomfortable if a) they can’t really afford to contribute anything or b) they don’t WANT to contribute to a certain cause (some people just prefer to contribute to certain causes or feel uncomfrtable contributing to others). If you do try to do some fundraising I would suggest linking on your wedding website and not asking for donations at the actual event.
