I think it would be a really fun, unexpected thing to do! Especially if you have a nice cake rolled out and when you cut into it, it's kind a fun rainbow surprise! Definitely yes if you can!
Funfetti is probably the best cake ever. My FI and I both love it, but we ordered our cake, so it wasn't even thought of. I think you should go for it!

I am doing funfetti wedding cake! Its my favorite kind of cake. I didn't think it was possible but when we went to discuss cake plans with our baker, I asked jokingly if they do funfetti - and she said yes! So our cake will be all funfetti - all three tiers. You should definitely go for it.
I know someone that did this! I didn't go to their wedding, but they said it was a hit! I say if it represents you, go for it! :)

i think that you should do whatever make you happy! i like funfetti and it will be a great surprise to find it in a wedding cake
Go for it! Most people love it and guests care more about and will remember what the cake tastes like than they do what it looks like.
So awesome, if it were an option with out Baker, I'd totally pick it. It's Mr. Starfish's favorite! I think your guests would love it! I would! :)
OMG, I laughed so hard when I read the title. FI loves funfetti. I am surprising him with a funfetti grooms cake. I think it would be fun and unexpected. Go for it!
We are doing funfetti with rainbow chip frosting for our wedding "cake", but we are doing cupcakes. It saves us money on the cake cutting fee and its our favorite. My FH and I make funfetti cupcakes at least once a month. Do whatever represents you the best! Plus you know it will be delicious, i've been to a few weddings where the cake was not very good and I knew they choose what they had because it was "fancy"...
This might be a dumb question... but what flavor is "funfetti"? Is it just a white cake with colors?
Since I posted this FI and I talked about it with FMIL and we're def gonna do it!!!!! FI loves marble cake (ick) so we may have a smaller tier with marble and then one with funfetti and rainbow chip filling :) And who know, maybe another tier will be something more traditional. Thanks girls!!!!! I'm so excited! Yay for funfetti!!!!!
My grandma is making our sheet cakes for us (we are just having a small bridal cake) and asked what flavors we wanted. My mom called to see if I had any ideas just 2 days ago and I told her funfetti...she laughed but said ok. Do it! haha I would be super excited if I went to a wedding with funfetti cake!
We are doing funfetti cupcakes in lieu of cake. I never liked the taste of wedding cake, but I *love* funfetti! Our colors are orange and green, and I stocked up on Funfetti frosting at Halloween and Christmas to make sure I had those colors. Sure, you can dye frosting, but it doesn't taste nearly as good!

To make "funfetti" you just take a regular cake , and throw in sprinkles. Bake. Bingo.
And yes, we're doing that. :)

My BFF accidentally did that. She made her own wedding cake with box mixes. She went to Safeway and bought all the white cake mixes she could, but most of them were white funfetti. By the time she figured it out, she was already ripping the packages open to make the cake and it was too late. So she had a funfetti cake.
Such a cute idea. There was also a display in a magazine maybe about a year ago where they actually decorated the outside in CONfetti. It was jewel tones, pinks, reds, blues, and golds & it was amazing. I found a picture..

bobbypinpearls.. I agree.. I love that cake.. I think it's in Martha Stewart Weddings from last Summer or Fall. The whole wedding was very fun! It wasn't my style exactly, but it was beautiful!

So I LOVE funfetti cake with rainbw chip frosting. I made a comment on my facebook about how I wish it was wedding appropriate. I have abou 30 comments telling me we should pick what we want for our cake, my Aunt who is baking our cake for free even commented "I can totally do funfetti" lol. It started off as a little joke and now I'm starting to think, why not? We both love it. At least one tier????
WDYT??? It woud be so 'us' to have a funfetti wedding cake tier :)
