Oh and also...since they are not in mismatching styles, do you think it would be okay to let them have free riegn over the accesories? I'm thnking long necklaces on some would look beautiful, of a great pair of earrings.

I love it too!!! They are beautiful. The dress would look good short too, if you decide you still want them that way. You have time to figure that one out though. But I think you made a great choice, especially since you got a deal on them! I wouldn't have them all in matching accessories either. Mismatched like you were thinking would look so much nicer. as they are the same style, maybe they COULD have different colours? and you could carry a bouquet of all those colours?
but if not, then yes they are lovely dresses, i think i would be inclined to keep them floor length as they are so lovley. it would be such a chame to waste the fabric. its not like the cut off fabric could be used for anything is it?

I looked for BM dresses for a total of 2 days, so I'm really hoping that I made the right decision. I wanted nice cocktai length dresses, My thought was to give the girls a color, fabric, and designer and have them go nuts picking out their dress. Here's how it really happened... We went to David's Bridal, against my will because I had been there twice for BM dresses and hadn't found anything I loved. So my sister and I were perusing the isles looking for short dreses when one long dress caught my eye, the bust was pleated and it was empire waisted and it was...well...lovely! I told her to try it on just for fun and the second she walked out of the dressing room, I was like dang my girls are going to look better than me! (Plus how can I get my hands on my sister's dress after the wedding!) So out the window goes the image of short dresses in mismatching styles.
Low and behold I come to find out that these dresses are being discontinued (hello discount!!) and I need to order within the week to be guaranteed the dress, so here I am having BM dress regret after making yet another rash decision. So bees you tell me, are there lovely or not so lovely? And do you think they would look better long or short? (my mom is a seamstress and can easily hem them)
The color will be deep purple. The orange one shows the detail on the bust better than the blue one, but that one is closer to the deep purple.
