I had a phone interview yesterday with 7 people on the other end. It’s for a cyber security/engineering company (I’m a psychologist). They approached me at a conference after a talk I gave saying that groups like theirs need to think about psychology when tackling their projects. Apparently, they agreed. The interview was super intense – 1 hour of drilling me (keep in mind that everyone who was interviewing me was an engineer and i’m the psychologist).
Afterwards i sent thank you emails to the interviewers including the chief scientist and senior VP.
They both responded and said thanks and that HR should be in contact to set up an on-site interview (YAY!!!!) The senior VP asked/offered to talk to me on the phone more about the company. I of course took advantage of that offer and will chat with him today.
A few minutes later I got an email from the senior VP saying “She sent me a thank you AND scheduled a phone call for tomorrow!!!”
Clearly he didn’t mean to send that to me. It made me laugh and wonder who that was intended for! I’m thinking it’s a good sign that they liked me though.
