@MrsNeutrino - In a religious sense, weird to do at a wedding, huh?
@Meowkers:Think missionaries coming to your door, they are witnessing to you.
I think it is a little odd that she would want to do that at your wedding. She can go to the woman's house to witness to her, it doesn't need to happen at your wedding. I agree 100% with you saying no to this.

So I wrote down my wedding guest list (quite large) with FI. I showed it to my parents and asked for their thoughts. My Mom added a couple I forgot (oops) THEN she said she wanted to invite "Eleanor".
This woman has been to my house once, and she didn't even remember my name after being introduced, she kept pointing at me and saying "her" whenever she had to reference me. This woman hasn't met my FI either.I said no, my Mom insisted that she would be fine covering money for an extra plate of food for her friend. Then she told me she wants to invite her to witness to her.
Intervention time- had to take my Dad aside and tell him that under no circumstances, would Eleanor be coming to my wedding because she didn't know me and I don't want people there who don't know me (duh). I told him my wedding is not for my Mom to witness to people too.... lol.
