So I could not keep the secret anymore and told Darling Husband that if he could guess what I was getting him for his bday then I would tell him. After a few guesses he figured out that I had planned a boudoir session for his bday suprise! He asked a few questions about it; like if it were a guy or a girl shooting it, where I was getting them done etc…
and then he said in a sarcastic, half sad voice;
“Oh,… are these gonna be like artsy pictures…?”
and I told him “well yeah, boudoir is like classy, artsy type bedroom pics. What were you expecting, like total nude, spread eagle, showing everything pics?!?!”
and he just said “well heck yeah, thats the kind I like to see!!! from you of course!”
I couldnt help but laugh! Hes such a guy lmao. Then he went on to say “you can ask any guy and of course their gonna say boudoir pics are nice, but they would pick the other kind of the artsy shots!” I just couldnt stop laughing. Hes silly.

lmao well he has a point! I’m sure my Fiance would also like to see me looking more like a pornstar than a nude model for an art piece. 😛 I doubt he’d turn down the artsy pics though!

Haha, omg. Darling Husband had kinda the same reaction when I gave him his. At first he was like “Whoa, sexy!” then…”Hmm…I thought it was gonna be more like porn.” I asked if he would like me to have some pornographic pictures taken, a video maybe? He said “yes, please.” Lol he does love the pics though. He says it’s a classy kind of sexy 🙂

Im sure he will be excited regardless lol 😀

LOL that’s funny. I can imagine though, my SO drooling and loving a boudoir shoot! Because it is very classy, not completely nude…sensual. I can only imagine in the back of his head wondering what it would be like if I was completely nude and raunchy and extra sexual like I was in the pages of Penthouse. Haha I don’t think I could act the latter in front of a random photographer. I really want to do a boudoir shoot as a wedding gift later on down the road 😉

Hahaha my Fiance would totally say the same thing! I don’t think he knows that boudoir photos are a “thing” really, but I plan on getting them done for him before the wedding. I can only imagine what he’s gonna say!

A good test could of been “Well I could of done those types of shots, but only the male photographer’s shoot them” LOL

Aye, think my SO would be the same, he’d defo agree with your hubby on that one – he’d like the artsy pic but would be happier with an amateur dirtier pic lol

@USER876: My husband is the one who does our boudoir shoots, and I’m sure he’d be totally weirded out by doing anything raunchy! That’d just be… weird. Plus he has to photograph the groom on the wedding day, just awkward.

I got boudoir pics for Fiance ages ago, and I can’t wait to give them to him for a wedding present. I’m worried he won’t like them though. I’m not sure if he’ll find them too sexy or not sexy enough! I like what your Darling Husband said though, it gives me hope that he’ll like them anyway.

I have been really lucky with this so far! I’ve had my boudoir shot by someone who dosen’t usually do boudoir (but celeb glamour for Maxim and Playboy) so I really LOVE my photos.
I wanted something smoldering (which I know Fiance would appreciate). I tried to go “less artsy” and more sensual to leave things to the imagination.
My wedding photographer also is offering me a free boudoir session so I’ll be able to tap into my sweet/artsy/flirty side with her which I’m excited to do. Here are the samples from the “smoldering” set. It’s not as “artsy” but not “nude, spread eagle, show everything pictures” either LOL

@MrsRuby: That’s funny! I’m sure he’ll love them once they’re in his hot little hands. 😉

OMG! Your Darling Husband sounds like mine! I had a boudoir shoot done for our first anniversary. The photos turned out great, but there were zero nudes! He still asks me when he’s going to get pics of me in my “birthday suit”!
