I just had to share this after checking out my son and FDIL's wedding website for updates a few minutes ago.  A little background....My FDIL who I absolutely adore, can't stand one of my son's groomsmen.  He is one of my son's hunting buddies who really pressured my son into being in the wedding with continuous comments like, "If I were getting married, YOU'D be my best man."  My son finally caved and asked him to be a groomsman even though he already had 9 groomsman (she has 8 bridesmaids) and my FDIL had expressly stated that she didn't want the hunting buddy in the wedding.  To be fair, 5 of the groomsman are brothers of both the groom and the bride who had to be in the wedding, so only 4 are just friends of my son.  All 8 of bridesmaids are friends of the bride (no sisters), so she got to choose alot more. Anyway, I have to agree with my FDIL that the hunting buddy tends to be very vulgar (especially when he drinks) and causes problems between my son and FDIL.  He seems to take some sort of perverse pleasure in "pushing her buttons" until she can't stand it anymore. But at the same time, he would do anything for my son and is always the one to show up when he needs an extra hand for home projects and stuff.  Sometimes I think he might be jealous that my son has a close relationship with someone other than himself.  My FDIL has really tried to accept this guy for my son's sake and usually just finds something else to do when he's around.  Well, as I was saying, I was just checking out their wedding website page that has pictures of all their attendants and noticed that the hunting buddy's picture has been replaced.... with a picture of my son's hunting DOG!  Not sure what happened, but gotta love my FDIL!

LOL that sounds like something I wish I could do :) I don't really have the guts and I loved all of my husband's groomsmen, but a friend from his work that I cannot stand reallly wanted to be in the wedding. Thank goodness my hubby said no. I would've loved  to have replaced his photo with a photo of a pig (he's a total male shovenist)
    :)
    Props to your FDIL

UPDATE!!!! I just found out from my FDIL the reason why she replaced my son's hunting buddy's picture with his hunting dog's picture on their wedding website. My SON KICKED HIS BUDDY OUT OF THE WEDDING because he called his fiance's 15 year old brother a derogatory name (about his weight) and insulted her too in front of all their friends at their Super Bowl party in their own home.  He also told everyone at the party that he was going to get wasted at the reception and tell crass jokes during the toasts.  So not only has his picture has been replaced, but HE has been replaced by the dog!  The 15 year old groomsman is going to walk down the isle with my son's best hunting partner, his 100 pound Chocolate Lab! I am so proud of my son for putting his fiance first and sticking up for her little brother!

Wow! What a lucky FDIL you have; 1) she has a super supportive FI and 2) a super supportive FMIL!  I'm sure the wedding will be great, just make sure the hunting buddy stays away from the mic!

No worries about him getting to the mic, the hunting buddy has been completely univited from the wedding by my son.  My son is done with him altogether and is even buying out his half of their duck boat that they bought together.
