My FSIL — who I have actually only met in person once — is being so sweet! She’s 22, and she is super excited about me marrying her big brother! She called me a few months ago just to chat, and said that she would like to come up to visit me for a weekend (my FI and I live in different states so she would really JUST be visiting me). She also has texted me for New Years’ saying how happy she is that I am going to be a part of her family!
I think it’s so cute! I have been with my FI for 6 years but I have only met his family once, but they still are so sweet to me & so enthusiastic about us being married. Although I’m not sure why (although I must say, I AM quite lovable ;-)), it is really awesome to be welcomed into his family with such open arms, and I definitely appreciate it because I know that not everyone is as fortunate to have such a positive experience with their in-laws.

That’s so great! I love having a new “little brother” with my BIL. Before we were engaged, he called me the girlfriend-in-law for like three years, which was hilarious. Sounds like your FSIL is super sweet. Enjoy!

That’s really fun that you and his sister get along so well. What could be better than having a fantastic guy AND finding a great new gal pal! 🙂

That’s great! My husband’s sister isn’t really an excitable type but I would hope that she wouldn’t mind hanging out with me!

I must admit i’m very jealous, my FSIL and i aren’t enemies, but we are not close at all and she can be very closed off. You are very fortunate!! congrats to you!!

Yeah…I’m definitely lucky. His mom also told him that she wished we were closer, so I am going to try to make a concerted effort to talk/visit her more as well after we are married and living closer to his family for a year.

Yay, that’s great! FI is an only child so I am sadly missing out on getting new sisters and brothers. However, my brother has a great GF who’s going to be one of my bridesmaids, so soon I hope to have a sister-in-law of my own.
