I just also posted this in the June 2009 "month twins" board...

My mom just let me know that there will be another postage increase in May. Not a big problem for sending invites, but for response cards. My "Respond by" date is May 26th, so I won't have any way of knowing which guests will respond sooner than May 11th, 2009. Postage is set to go up to 44cents.

We have decided to try and bypass the problem by buying "Forever" Stamps instead. We just purchased 200 and will use them on our response cards.

Just wanted to give all of you ladies a heads up!

I heard they are going up too. The "Forever" stamps are a great way to get around this. Don't forget to stock up for all of your thank you notes too! A one or two cent increase isn't a big deal, until you have to send out hundreds of response cards and hundreds of thank you notes or wedding announcements! It can add up!

[PS, the "forever" stamp is a stamp that you can buy at the current postage rate, but can continue to use it without buying additional postage when the rate increases. As its name states, the value is good "forever."]
