@sooner365: I say if you have been together 8 years what would a few more months do. I say go for a spring wedding!! But of course I'm partial because Im hoping to have my wedding on the spring 2013. We havent set a date yet, we are going to start to visit venues in the next few weeks and then determine the date from there. Im also having an outdoor ceremony so I need the nicer weather for that.
I love spring colors, lavender, lilac, yellow, the flowers blooming, the trees are all full and birds are singing, I just love the spring time...I live in the North East so I also love spring because it the end of the terrible winter cold weather!!
Best of luck on whatever you decide, Im sure it will be beautiful either way :)
I cant switch anything bc we already did once.. so thats my dilemma!!
AZ has nice weather year around Im sure you can still mimic spring items for your December wedding, which I would not be able to do in the North East.
You can have special items like beautiful ornaments, awesome winter colors (silver, pearl white, red, green, gold) and sparkles!! Make your wedding extra shiny and fun...I love that song "All I want for Christmas is you" I know is not a wedding song, but I would totally play it even if is at the end of the night!! Im sure you will make it special and it will be as beautiful as any other season of the year!!
Aw!! I got your back if you need moral support, either way!!
@springwedding2013: I think I want like a soft but shiny sparkly wedding.... no theme or feel just colors and bling:)
then for that you dont need spring, or any season...I think a sparkly wedding is good anytime, I like the idea of a sparklers send off, I've always loved them.
Checkout the pictures on this post: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/sparkler-send-off , they are so pretty. I think I want them, I just get concern with people who have had too much alcohol handling anything that can cause a fire.
@sooner365: Back when I got married, weddings were mainly white, white, and more white. I had only 4 choices for BM dresses, dusty rose, slate blue, cranberry and hunter green. We planned a Spring wedding, but found out FMIL was terminal, so we pushed the wedding up to November-and the only color I was okay with was dusty rose, so I had a pink wedding in late November. Do what you want!

I cannot get it out of my head and have not bought any decor or anything for this wedding besides earrings and my dress:/ I have my venue booked and some vendors. We had to push our date back in Aug.bc I lost my job and our wedding was planned for March. I had STDs all sent. But we decided lets do Dec bc its cool and I realllly didnt wanna wait til 2013. We have been together for 8 yrs this Sept. THEN watching David Tutera and the butterfly bride I was dying inside.. I am sooo close to saying F*it and do my spring thing!! Just a little rant:)
