Ah, so when I ordered my dress, the sample I tried on was an 8, and it was big, the women said she would order and 8 for me but I could order a 6, but not gain any weight. I said lets go with the 6, I don’t normally gain weight, however SINCE then I have gained 5 pounds ( tons of stress from his side of the family which was not expected!) and I feel like I keep gaining. My dress is supposed to come in in about 2 weeks, I’m getting married at the end of August, I’m trying to lose the weight but I’m having such a hard time ( so not like me) Is 5 pounds going to be a make or break and how the heck do I lose the weight. I’ve been depressed and down over the issues with his family and I just recently had my work location moved, so now I’m commuting 2 hours to work one way, so I’m so tired by the time I get home! HELP!

@ams12: I’m sorry things have been difficult with FI’s family. But don’t stress. 5 pounds isn’t that bad and you’ve got until August to lose it or alter the dress.

I would say, since it sounds like working out it going to be difficult for you if you are tired when you get home, its diet time. 5 pounds isn’t bad at all, but you only get married once, it would be a shame if your dress doesn’t fit, and I would start right away if you are going about it with only eating changes. Good luck! and I am sorry about your stress 🙁

So sorry about all your stress! I hope it gets better! I would say start pouring down the water – cut out all softdrinks/wine/alcohol/etc AND sugar. I drive an hour and half one way and keep a 5 lb. weight in my car to do arm exercises. I know everyone on the interstate think I’m crazy, but I get a good arm workout in. 🙂
You’ll have the 5 lbs off in no time!! Just stay focused and positive!
