Hi girls- I bought my dress at David’s Bridal after having a really great experience there this past fall. I had gone to several boutiques (including Kleinfeld’s) and actually had the best experience at DB compared to the other stores. My consultant was so friendly and really helpful and I ended up falling in looove with a Galina Signature dress (style SWG400). I always knew I wanted a dress that I could wear a sash with, and while I was there I ended up buying a flower that I planned on attaching to a satin sash (see attached for photos of me holding the flower as well as the flower close up). Now I am re-considering whether I want the sash to have a flower, or if I want to go with a more blingy type of sash with rhinestone and/or pearls to match the dress. I was hoping for some advice from anyone who maybe has the same or similar style dress and made a similar decision about their sash, or maybe someone who just wants to offer some advice! I’d be happy to hear any advice, thanks guys!! 🙂

I think it could work. Your dress is gorgeous, and the flower will be a nice touch.
Will the sash be colored? If you want more bling, you could always try to DIY it and add a little bling as your see fit with the flower.
Did you happen to try any blingy sashes while you were there?

@ThyLadyThompson: Thanks! I don’t think I would do a colored sash, maybe just off white to match the flower… but I’m thinking of either the flower and a plain satin sash, or no flower at all and going with a beaded sash like one of these. I didn’t try on any like this but have an appt at DB in June so was planning on trying some then.

Personally, I think this dress looks amazing just with the flower! You have a great shape and I tend to think sashes cut people into segments and in your case you don’t need to hide any flaws, so I’d leave it as is! That’s just me though, if you want sparkle maybe they could add some crystals to the flower?

A thin blingy sash would compliment it well, thicker ones tend to chop people in half imo. Take pictures of both and compare, and remember to have fun! 🙂

I think I have it!
No sash, the dress speaks for itself. Perhaps a tiny brooch where the “girls” meet or on top of the dress where the girls are. Or, if you don’t like that, just leave it plain. But, take that flower and use it in your veil!
