About three weeks ago I went to the ER after an awful gallstone attack. They offered to take me into surgery that day because I was very enflamed but it was a 13 hour wait and I was absolutely traumatized already(I’m terrified of needles). My white blood cell count was super off so they gave me lots of iV and I was on medication for 10 days. During that 10 days I was very sick all day long from all the medication I was on. The earliest appointment the surgeon had available is next month, a few days before my bridal shower and two weeks before my wedding. I am very conflicted on whether I should get the surgery before my wedding/honeymoon or wait till after the wedding. I just started my new job and I already had to ask for 2.5 weeks off for my wedding/honeymoon. I’m wearing a fitted corset dress and I’m nervous i’ll be very uncomfortable where my incisions are. Also, my fiance and I have saved ourselves for marriage and I’m not too excited for all that scarring. I know he accepts me for who I am, but I’m already feeling shy of my body without all those scars and tenderness. What would you do? Thanks everyone!
