So I need to have my gall bladder out, I have a whole bunch of stones. I saw a surgeon and he agreed. I’m feeling ok so long as I don’t eat anything with fat in it. My wedding is June 22.
I was thinking I’d have it removed in July, after the wedding, but my FH thinks I should have it taken out before the wedding.
I don’t know. What do you guys think? I’m worried the surgery will interfere with all the pre-wedding stuff. What if something happened? Then again what if I had an attack on my wedding day too. I don’t know what to do 🙁

My husband and I have both had our gall bladders out– laproscopically.
Barring any complications, recovery time is like 3-4 days. Max. I wouldn’t hold off on doing that…as stress can exacerbate gall bladder symptoms.

My mom had hers taken out and was ok after a week.
If you think you can take a week off of wedding planning/events, then do it. If not, wait till after. But you run the risk of an attack or something setting you off the day of. Personally, it’s not something I would want to risk and would get it out before.

Most women I’ve know have had theirs out and were fine after a week. One was so fine she had Mexican food on the way home from the surgrey!
