I'm getting married in Galveston too!! Where is your ceremony/reception?
I haven't done too much investigating into rehearsal dinner spots yet, but I do know that Salsa's on the Seawall has a seperate function room. It's nice and casual, and looked to me like it could accomodate 50 people. The website doesn't have much information about functions there, but I'm sure if you call they can help you out.I've been going there for years and I love their food and margaritas. I'm hoping to have my rehearsal there.

Another place that caught my eye is The Spot, also on the Seawall. I haven't actually been there, but it looks like it might be really cool. It's got a restaurant, a few bars, and an arcade. The website doesn't say if they have a function room, so you might have to call them, as well.

Hope this helps! Let me know where you end up!
Try Fish Tales on the Seawall. I went there a couple of weeks ago and it has really good food, it has a fun atmosphere! We sat upstairs and it looks like they have some sort of banquet room type thing. I didn't get a good look at it so I'm not sure how many it can seat. If there isn't enough space in that room, I'm sure they could block off the top floor and you would have that area to yourself. Hope this helps! It was the first one that came to mind! :)
Oh wow! Thanks guys so much!! I had not heard of Salsa's or Fish Tales. They both look like a fun place to have a rehearsal dinner! Much appreciated! MvVerde: That's so exciting that you are getting married in Galveston! It truely has a lot of character and some great history. We are having our ceremony and reception at the Ashton Villa. What about you? It's so nice to find another person getting married in Galveston, too!
I love Salsa's and I was actually going to sugges that. My FI's knows the owner because he went to my FI's job at the time to open accounts, so we went to Galveston and tried it and the food was DELISH!!!! I always want to go there and eat. Great mexican food also great seafood! Very big place too!
I wanted to get married at Ashton Villa but no one ever returned my emails or calls. =( we already book somewhere but I cant wait to see your photos from that beautiful place.
@shabbychicbride: I know, I was so excited to see another Galveston bride! I've been in love with that town since I was a little girl. I just love the history and all the Victorian architecture. Ashton Villa is absolutely beautiful. We're having our ceremony and reception at the Hotel Galvez. We'll have to compare notes on vendors (whenever I start hiring some ;)
I am also a Galveston bride! 6/11/11 at the Hilton Hotel on the seawall! :) I am trying to rent a beach house for the weekend of the wedding for my bridal party to stay at (they are pitching in half) and after the rehersal Friday afternoon we will all go back to the beach house and relax and hang out. I have been looking into local resturaunts in Galveston to cater for us, I am leaning towards BBQ. Exciting to see other Galveston brides on here! Congrats to you all!
@valeriereid87@yahoo.com: Yay, another Galveston bride! Welcome!
Hi ladies. I am glad to see some fellow Galveston brides. I am getting married there this fall. I am also looking for a fun rehearsal dinner place. Just one note, if you really like good Mexican food Salsas really is not very good. I don't mean any disrespect but I would want to know. You may go try it and see what you think. Have any of you scheduled your bridesmaid luncheon?
I am a Galveston bride also. Where are y'all getting married/reception at? I am having the ceremony at St. Patrick and reception at the San Luis. We are probably doing the rehearsal at Salsa's also.
Hi y'all! I am getting married in April at Ashton Villa. I too have been in love with Galveston since I was a child. We are SO excited about our wedding day! I have recently started looking into rehearsal dinner locations. We wanted Marios on the Seawall, but they are already booked :(. Maybe you should try there. It has a great view and the food is awesome.

Hello all :)
I was wondering if any of you knew any fun and relaxed places for a rehearsal dinner in Galveston, TX for about 50 people? We are not picky on the food. We were kind of wanting something outside of the hotels. All answers appreciated! :)
