I had a wedding that only consisted of immediate family and no frills whatsoever after I spent a long time planning for a big wedding. Oh and I cancelled it once (financial reasons) and then started planning again too so it was like double the headache. So that’s my “negative”

My positive is that I got married (yay!) and that I was able to do it with my godmother (like a second mom to me) there. She was in end stages of cancer and she died literally a week after I got married and would not have made it to our original wedding date. I have no regrets.

I had way too much DIY to finish right before the wedding but it showed me how amazing my friends and family are because everyone pitched in and helped and it all got done!

Everything fell apart at the liquor board office but that gave me time to run to Circuit Court to get our marriage license, accomplishing a big task on my list.

We recently found out that the building next to our outdoor ceremony site will be under construction while we’re getting married, so we should “expect to hear significant construction noise,” omg.

BUT I have 4 elderly and frail grandparents, and this venue involves no steps or stairs, has incredibly close parking, the ability to have seats VERY close to where we’ll be standing, and it had our date available, which we picked to be as early as possible, due to their ill health. So as long as my grandparents are there, I will be pleased as punch!

Plus it helped confirm our decision to use microphones for our 20-person ceremony, lol.

My $90 custom cake topper has gotten lost in the mail, and I may never see it again…

But, I still get to eat cake. So, it’s all good.

I didn’t pick up any delicious dessert treats when I walked 3 miles to get lunch/dinner today, and now I am CRAVING chocolate—

BUT—I ate french fries yesterday, so I really don’t need the calories, and the baby will be thankful I’m not being a pig today!

Mine isn’t wedding related…

The other day I was backing out of my garage.  I always stop on my driveway to watch the garage close, because I’m paranoid it won’t and someone will rob our house.  Anyway, for some reason, the garage door started going back up.  So I had to get my opener out again (I keep it in my middle console) and press it twice to send it back down again.  Of course I was annoyed…but had it not gone back up, I would have continued backing up and not seen the 2 children that had stopped RIGHT behind my SUV.  I’m still thanking my lucky stars…truly a miracle.

I regret not having a videographer on our wedding day, but it helps me treasure our photos all that much more! 🙂

It is pouring outside and I got completely drenched doing my errands…at least I could win a wet t-shirt contest.

@MrsPanda99:  And we could call that contest “Naughty Knockers of the North” 🙂
