I really want to surprise my future husband with the best cake topper ever. Of course I set the bar too high for myself and now I can't make decisions! My thoughts so far have been: Mario and Princess Peach, zombie bride and groom (though i think this might terrify my family) 3P0 and R2 (what? they are very much a couple LOL), link and zelda, the Westley and Buttercup from the Princses Bride. None of these feels right to me, anyone have any ideas?!

OH.  You are getting married in NJ?

I was going to suggest these cute robots.

But then I checked to see when your date is, and saw you were getting married in NJ.  If you're going to be near Freehold, NYC, or Nyack, NY, maybe try Robot Galaxy keychains?

Robot Galaxy is like build a bear, but with robots...

My fiance and I got toppers of the two main characters in Resident Evil 5 (Chris and Sheva).  It was one of our favorite two person games that we played together on PS3. There may be two other people at the wedding that "get" it but thats okay.... the are very much US!!  We will be decking them out with a tux, dress, veil and flowers....

I'm marrying a geek so you'd think I would have a good answer for this! I'm stumped right now but I'll come back if I think of anything. :) I like the robot idea, personally.

What about doing a grooms cake that is just one flat sheet cake (you can buy at Costco) with the figures of these different characters stuck on it.

@iheartnerds: haha i was thinking of you when i wrote this, oh well we can figure it out together. I love the robots cake toppers on etsy, but when I showed them to FI he was kinda Meh on them. I just need to figure out the best geek couple in gaming/comics/cartoons I guess!

@PinkDeer: That's a good one! We didn't play RE because sometimes I get too freaked out in those games :) The first time we played Bioshock I was hiding under blankets and stuff :) I'm much better about it now though haha

@surkim: aw those are adorable I've never seen them with computer parts, only the steampunky ones

@julies1949: I'm not sure what other info you might need? We're gamer/comic/sci fi geeks. I've done plenty of searching on offbeatbride.

My husband is a huge X-Men fan and I was tempted to get a Rogue and Gambit cake topper.

@Brianalaura: that would definitely be awesome! I've gotten FI a Gambit figure for his birthday, and I also got Dread Pirate Roberts so I have half of two cake toppers haha. I'll keep that one in mind for sure!

@CapeBoundBride: I would but we own just about everything on there already hah! It did remind me that we could do Aliens v Predator (I've always said the aliens would win and FI is obsessed with predator)

funny, but I was just thinking last night that I would love to do a comic book action figure cake topper. My FI is a big fan of Iron Man and he has all sorts of figurines, that he doesn't have in a box holding onto, so that should work. Also, it goes with our colors of red and purple. However, I am planning to do a cake buffet rather than one cake with several tiers. I will have one that is a two-tier cake for the cake cutting, that I am thinking of doing a typical monogram topper and then on one having a couple of the action figures, then on another one, I am thinking of something to reflect one of my likes, such as the tardis from doctor who(yes, I am a big sci fi geek too.) The only problem the blue police box doesn't really match the wedding colors.

@Brianalaura: We were considering doing Rogue and Gambit, too! Our other alternative was doing Domo caketoppers, but I am having trouble finding ones small enough.
