I love to garden! It is my joy and a great hobby. we currently live on the 5th floor of a 5 floor walk up in Queens, NYC, but I use every bit of window space I can. We also have a courtyard I can put my plants out in during the warm weather. One day we will own a home and I will have my own herb & vegetable garden.
Both sets of grandparents had/have amazing green thumbs, and though my parents showed no interest in gardening, the moment my now-FI and I moved in together I took to gardening. I also have an office garden at my job with one of the older associates. I love putting my hands in the dirt
I am a basil freak and have been growing Sweet and Red Rubin Basil, but have recently added mint and rosemary to my repertoire. If I see a plant of the growd, I will scoop it up and try to bring it back to life.
I love my snapdragons, which I grew from seed.
I will post pics when I get them off my phone.

I loved snapdragons as a kid! I am hoping to plant some flowers from seed after the summer.
This year, I built 2 raised planter beds and have successfully grown zucchini, cucumbers, cantaloupe, broccoli, jalapenos, chives, green onions, rosemary, basil, parsley, cilantro, radishes and beets. Unfortunately, the California heat is wreaking havoc on everything, but I still love going out there early in the morning to check out the new growth. Weekends when I have time to get out there to weed and plant are the such relaxing, therapeutic days. Looove it.
What do you do with all your basil? My plant is huge, but is already starting to bolt and I feel like I need to start using it faster.

@jackieee: I chop it up with water and freeze it in ice cube trays. I am always creating cutlings. I use them for aroma therapy baths. Nom on them when my tummy hurts. I make insense with them. I make basil infused oils and vinegars
Oh how I want to make a raised garden bed. but I am scaling back my gardening because winter is coming soon (in the northeast anyway) and we our lease is up in March so we have to find a new apt, which may or may not have space for all my plants.
Basil/s, rosemary, parsley, mini sweet pepers, mint, a philipino vined spinich called Alugbati, assorted cacti, Wondering Jew, Spider plants, Snapdragons,
