So after lots and lots of debating about what kind of decor to do for the barn were getting married in, I decided on making garlands. Were also doing lots of lights around too, but these garlands will be for over the dance floor. My goal is to make 10 strands of 30 feet each (so aprx 1500 hearts. Plus they need to be double sided so technically 3000) so far I have 7 strands done! 🙂 So far theyve been quite easy to make. Im also thinking of making a few in our colours (navy and very light pink), to hang off the various tables- like cake table, gift table, etc.

Aww, I love it! How high will you have to hang them? I know in my barn venue, I think I would have to make the hearts slightly larger so they’ll read well from high above.

It looks awesome. Are they paper or cloth and how are they connected? I can think of some non-wedding uses for these for me 🙂

Thanks everyone 🙂 I love how they turned out
@Theatrechica: thats a good question…one I dont have an answer too lol. Honestly, not that tall- maybe around 7 feet high? Honestly, I bought the largest heart punch I could find and just went with it. 🙂
@Goofball: they’re paper and I just sewed them together on the sewing machine. They are really simple to make! It took a bit of practise to get them somewhat straight..but I had 300 feet to practise with lol. They’d be great for parties too
