    We did it and everyone loved it. They laughed and had a good time with it. We had lots of kids there and nobody seemed to have any issues. And my husband had fun doing it 🙂

    @lolita39:  I don’t understand this tradition.  Actually, I don’t understand most traditions.

    My husband felt so awkward about it – especially in front of the kids and older relatives – but it’s totally considered a normal part of weddings for my family and the older folks actually love it.

    DH was a good sport and actually did a little dance prelude as he got into the music, haha.

    We figured that since we were doing a bouquet toss for the gals, we should do something for the guys, so we went with tradition.

    Everyone thought it was really fun and you can actually hear my dad hollering ‘YEAAHH’ in the background of the clip that was filmed of it. Embarrassing but also hilarious.

    We aren’t doing one – they are fine if done with class.. A guy i am friends on fb with just got married on the weekend and he literally did a strip tease before going in for the garter. He took his shirt AND pants off, and was rubbing his new wifes hands all up on him and gyrating and his thrusting all over her. and the video was posted on facebook! wow just wow. At a wedding! With parents and grand parents and kids!!

    I told my husband to keep it clean, and he did. I was worried that he’d stick his head up my dress, but he didn’t!

    I think the garter toss can be nice, but some couples, or grooms, just go a bit too far for my taste.

    I definitely didn’t do it.  I find it really freakin’ weird, sorry.  My husband sure as hell isn’t sticking his head up my dress in public! lol.  Nor do I really want someone catching an item that has been on my upper thigh all day…  (I also didn’t throw my bouquet, both because I didn’t want to ruin my bouquet, although people use stand-ins, and because many people say it makes all the single females very uncomfortable)

    We loved it I put it above my knee right before the dj announced it. It was pretty PG since we’re kinda conservative but it was really cute!
