I used to live in Savannah and the Gastonian is GORGEOUS. Simply gorgeous. You can't go wrong. Savannah's a neat city and there are lots of sweet little Inns if you choose another.
@ejs4y8: Thanks! The Gastonian has an elopement package that seems to fit our needs perfectly, and we thought being in the heart of the historic district would be fantastic. The more we research Savannah, the more we realize that it is going to be the perfect place for us to get married!

I have seen the Gastonian but we did not stay there. We had a DW in Savannah and our guests stayed at a main stream hotel while my husband and I stayed at the Kehoe House. It was really nice and I'd recommend it. Good luck!

Has anyone stayed at the Gastonian or used it as a venue for your wedding? We're considering it for our elopement, and were looking for any recommendations or anything else others might have to share about it.
