I’m not pregnant yet, but I’ve been researching cloth diapers and although I would like to do this, I’m not sure if I can get all of the other diaper changers on board 🙂 I started looking around the internet for different options and I came accross gDiapers.
I found basic information about them but I would like to hear opinions about someone else who has actually used them. How does the cost compare as well?

Mrs. Corn has used gDiapers for her son. She has written about them on her blog here (this links to all her posts labeled with gMum).

I have seen them and tested them out, but we don’t use them regularly. Part of the reason some people don’t like them is that there are three parts – the cloth cover, the waterproof liner, and the absorbent insert.
I’m not a big fan of all the parts. I like to have a pocket diaper (I use bumgenius 4.0 pocket diapers) since everything stays put in the diaper and if I stuff them when they come out of the wash, they go on easier than a disposable diaper.
The Flip diapers are similar to gDiapers since they have a waterprrof cover and several options for inserts – stay dry, organic prefold, or disposable. There are only 2 parts though, since the cover itself is waterproof.
I also hate aplix/hook and loop because the make my diapers pilly and they seem to wear out faster than the snaps.
I know some people who LOVE the gdiapers and others who dislike them, so the best thing is to try them out along with a few other kinds to see what you like and what works well.

I love the look of gDiapers. They have great colors and look great. We tried them but couldn’t get a good fit ever. So those went away unfortunately. Because they have the 3 parts and the outside liner isn’t waterproof you have to make sure that the inner liner fits right. That was just way too complicated. The gCloth on the other hand is fantastic. trim and absorbant. We use it to double at night in our pocket diapers and occasionally as inserts in our other diapers.
We love our GroVia hybrids. We have disposable inserts and cloth inserts. They have always fit great and never leak out. Even with EBF poop. I would recommend them.
We have tried the Flip and love the insert but the shell isn’t as trim or nice as our grovias.
For night times we stick with double stuffed pockets.

I can’t help with Gdiapers, but I do know what it’s like to have to get the hubby on board with going cloth!
We use Bum Genius Elemental, so it’s all in one, one size, very easy to use. There’s no stuffing them, no buying different parts. Easy peasy. Even my husband loves them! PM me if you want more info about them.
