@Goldilocks1107: you start your TWW once ovulation happens and if you have a 14 day Luteal Phase.

I strongly reccomend using OPK’s or charting at a minimum so that you and DH are not “wearing yourselves out” BDing when it’s not likely to result in a pregnancy.

Good luck!!

@Goldilocks1107: yep exactly, DH and I did that in December/November, we tried not to try and failed at the not trying part….we were both a wreck.

-Did we time it right? Should we today? What about tomorow

Honestly, it was awful!! Since charting /OPKs we know without a doubt if we timed things right.

I know what you mean.  TTC can be hard work!  This past month I ovulated right smack in the middle of a crazy stressful period of time for DH at work.  We still managed to BD at the right time, including the day I O’d, which was immediately following a marathon 2-day business trip for DH where he slept maybe 7 hours in 2 nights.  He reminded me that the fact that he even managed to, ahem, perform that night was a major testiment to how committed he was to getting me pregnant.

@Goldilocks1107: I’m not charting per se, but you can use ovaluation calculators to see when you’ll ovulate and be fertile. That’s just better than guessing blindly. I’m waiting for my second period off bc, then am going to use an ovaluation calculator to see when I’m fertile. Even just using that helps. When I go on vacation, I’m bringing some OPK’s with me to be sure, but if the calculator’s correct, I’ll be fertile then.

@Goldilocks1107: That’s good that you double checked. I suck at math, so finding an ovulation calculator or a few to see if they were about the same helps. I just like making it easier than harder on myself with biological things like TTC.

The warm up to the TWW….I like it!  Right now I’m in the warm up to the warm up.  AKA, partying with AF.  Lucky timing for me because there are two ‘drinking events’ I’ll be attending this weekend and wont feel bad about having a glass or 3.

I’m charting for my first full month and I’ve never bought ovulation predictor sticks, but I think I’m going to go for some of those this month too.  Warm up to the warm up for me = OP stick buying time!

Have fun and good luck for this month!
