We are planning on it!  He wants some of them to be Star Wars.  So we’ll probably take some “regular” pictures and some star wars themed ones.  We plan on sending one of each out with the invitations, I think, depending on cost.

Well, not exactly–we also really, really dislike traditional engagement pics, though. We are pretty geeky, lol, but we wanted “art” engagement pics, so that’s what we did. Buuuut, since you asked for pics, why not? 🙂

We’ve thought of a half-traditional, half-sporty themed shoot. We’re planning to play disc golf (one of our pastimes) and bowling (tribute to first date) for our shoot. However, we’re adding a trip to the cover bridges for the parents.

We were thinking of going to a record store for our shoot but there’s too much running around. Lol

@badabing88:  haha!  Thanks!  I was thinking a themed shoot, but maybe a Downton Abbey style or 1940s?  Nope, Star Wars.  I guess we’ll see!

@badabing88:  if FI had his own way, he would have it at NYC Comic Con!

Another location I would love to take our e-pics is at MSG in New York or Wells Fargo Center in Philly. We’re both hockey fans. However I don’t know what we need to do to get permission for a quick shoot on the ice!

I wish I was more creative but I’m not. We have a favourite wine that we always drink (and have since we first started dating) so we are doing engagement pictures at that vineyard. It’s a space that is meaningful for us and we are going for casual pictures as opposed to staged ones.

Oh, we will be bringing our puppy if that counts as “weird.”

I would really like to see a couple doing something fun during their engagement shoot instead of posing for pictures in a field. We’re not doing an engagement shoot bc FI hired someone for our proposal and we got pro pix then and our wedding is a destination wedding and I would rather have a TTD, but if I were to do it, I would go somewhere like a carnival and take pictures there – shoveling cotton candy down FI’s throat or something fun, bc we’re silly like that. We would pick a day date and hire a photographer to just capture the moments, not pose us.

ETA: Apparently, this idea has already been done (not by me or any of my friends!):

These pix still feel posed, though.
