Love the idea, but I don't know of any. I would try calling a few gelato shops and ask if they know of any vendors or if they are willing to do something like it.

Call Bulgarini Gelato in Altadena - I know they used to sell out of of a mobile cart - not sure if they'd do weddings, but it's a good place to start.

Here's my follow up: Bulgarini gave me a price quote of $10.00 for 5 flavors, 1 server, cups/spoons, etc.  We have 250 guests, so as you can imagine this greatly exceeded our budget.

However, was able to find Gelato Bar in Studio City.  They charge $900 for 2 servers, 7 flavors, ~300 servings, cups/spoons, etc.  The owner Joel is also very great, really nice and accommodating.  The FI and I will be going with this company unless we find someone we like better.

Thanks for posting with this update!  Sounds great, would love to do it...but probably not in our budget.  Love to hear how it goes over with your guests though!

My husband and I are doing this also.  We're going to serve it with our cake.  Our coordinator and cater are getting it for us.  I'll ask them where they are renting it.
