I am using Shannon Wright of Photography by Shannon and I absolutely love her and her work! She is based out of Atlanta and is super sweet and amazingly talented. What I really love about her is that she is really willing to work with you on things, especially money. We had some issues about deposits because my dad was on an extended international business trip and she was willing to split things up and do the contract with what we could give her to save our date.
He base package is $1800 but it's actually really great. Take a look and see what you think!

*edit* I mistakenly quoted the wrong base price, it's actually $2k but I think you can customize packages so it would be worth looking into. Sorry! What you get, though, for your money is a lot but I'm pretty sure you can work with her on what you need/want. She's great!
We had some engagement pictures done by Jeff Roffman of Jeff Roffman Photography- he does really beautiful work, but we didn't book him since we're not getting married down here. But his packages range $1500-2200 or something like that, and he's Atlanta based so I can't image Athens would be an issue travelwise.
OMG I Love her work!!! Im thinking that I might ask for this from my parents as a wedding gift. Photography is so important to me!
Check Saldivia-Jones...My work (Mercer University) uses them as our main photographer out of Atlanta and they are WONDERFUL to work with!!

Isn't she great?! Omg love her! She has a facebook page, too, that has albums that she's done and a blog, so you can really see a lot of her work! I've seen other pics from my wedding planner that works a lot with her and the pics are just gorgeous!
Photography is really important to me, too! I mean, you have these for the rest of your lives so they better be good! Aw well that would be a great present, I hope you can work something out!

studio 519...Rual..he is my photographer. I think his fee is around 1300-1500 normally but that includes engagement and rights to cd with hi res images. He is really quick to get photos to you and a nice guy. I think the web site is studio-519.com, he is out of Canton but will travel.

One of my old college roommates is a wedding photographer in Atlanta and she is wonderful!! I know she would have no problem travelling to your wedding location. She did my engagement session and I wanted her to do my wedding as well (I was going to fly her up to IN) but she booked someone on the date we set literally one week before we set it.

I will start by saying please do not repost this into the local boards - more people will respond if it is in beehive and I need all the help I can get!!!
Background: Went through The Pros and found a really nice photographer who I had my engagement pics with. Got along really well with her, but from the over 350 pics she took on that day we only got 89 of them and only about 10 were really good. The rest were "eh" or NOT GOOD. My gut feeling is to find someone else for wedding day photography. I want to be in LOVE with my photos!!!
I am getting married approx 60 miles from Atlanta and approx 25 milies from Athens. If anyone knows of someone who does great wedding photography for between $1000 and $1800 please let me know! IM DESPERATE!! I only have 4 months to go and I don't even know where to begin!
