I've been checking prices for months for my wedding next month. Sam's Club has pretty good prices, but you only get 80 stems. The ones I'm going to go with is
They sell both mini and regular gerbs (Sam's sells only regular, and the mini's look better in bouquets to me), and they have lots of colors and quantity. Most of the regular places to buy wedding flowers charge way too much for gerbs, and these guys are the best deal I've found, and they have good reviews. They guarantee their prices too. If you have some time, I can let you know how I like them after my wedding next month!
Oh, and just pay attention to the "fine print" (which is actually in like bright red on their site)- bad reviews have come from people getting mad that they didn't get the color they want, but if it will be an issue it specifically states they can substitute, usually in the same color family, if what you ordered isn't available. They do sell gerbs that are guaranteed though, so just check before you order. Everyone else seems to like them, that I have found.
I used Grower's Box to get gerbera daisies for a graduation party I threw for my friend. We used them as cute and simple centerpieces. I'd recommend them. I would only say to make sure you have some place cool to put them when you get them. Our AC broke the day after they arrived and some of them wilted!
Try the FlowerMart downtown L.A. on Wall St. between 7th and 8th. They have hundreds of growers/wholesalers under one roof. I would be surprised if you can't find a good price for your gerbs in there. It's best to go in the morning as early as possible (sorry) because they are fresh and not picked over, but when I was looking for flowers I went at around 9 or 10 and they were pretty well stocked. They close up early though, so I think you need to get there by 12.
Just wanted to let you know I got my miniature gerberas from farmstogo.com for my wedding, and they were absolutely perfect. I had them delivered two days before the wedding so I could re-hydrate them, and they perked up nicely. Ordering around holidays can mess up their schedule though, I found out when I tried to reorder for last weekend, and Memorial Day messed up the schedule, but that's the only issue I had, and that was thankfully just for the open house and not the wedding. Their prices also include overnight shipping from Colombia, so I actually paid only $80 for 100 flowers, no extra fees or anything.
I think I want to use Gerbera Daisies (my fav flower of all) for our wedding. Anyone know of any good wholesalers online that has great reviews?
