I haven't visited this venue, but the Bond ballroom is very nice if you're looking for a ballroom type venue in Hartford.
Hi,
I visited there when I was looking for a reception venue. The decor is very 1920's Gatsby. I am not from CT but my fiance is. I liked it, but the fiance didn't for 2 major reasons: 1) If you are looking at a Saturday night reception, be mindful that there is a club in the building and there is a common entrance for the G-Fox and club. 2) You have to move your dancing outside to the atrium if you have a larger number of guests since you'll need the space alotted for the dance floor for more tables.
Overall I liked it (bathroom in the ballroom is gorgeous), but be wary of the club on a saturday. The co-ordinator Jessica told me there is usually no problem, but that's not the atmosphere I was going for. And for the price (base price is nice, but any changes cost you and bring the price up to other nearby venues) you can look at other places.

Look up the Society Room in Hartford, CT. It's gorgeous!! =)
I am having my wedding at the Gershon and it's amazing! I looked at probably 20 places and decided on this. I will say though that the FI and I are "foodies" and the executive chef is quite well known in CT. His food is amazing and artful.

Hey! I booked the Marquee for my October wedding this year. The ballroom is gorgeous. I didnt hear anything about a Saturday night club in the building. Jessica mentioned that it is a public entrance. That makes me a little nervous.
Did you decide to book there?
@sdrobinson2013: I had my wedding there and there is a night club that uses the same main entrance as your guests. However, by the time it opens your guests are all inside of the ballroom and so you don't notice or hear it. The only thing that did catch the eye of some of my guests is as they were leaving there was a lady with a snake at the door way of the club. I had no idea this was going on. It made for some interesting and surprising fb pictures that night though. That's my mother on the left lol
