Is anyone else wearing a Getaway dress? I remember watching Father of the Bride as a little kid and thinking how classy it seemed. It could also be really practical if we’re flying out for our honeymoon in the morning.
I am thinking about his J. Crew dress:

That’s really pretty.. I love the idea as well but I personally decided against it as it wasn’t practical for me.
1) The time to change eats into the reception time
2) It creates extra logistical issues like who will take your dress home from the reception (surely you won’t be carrying it in your arms as you make your big exit)

@vanessa7: @Cyri: I don’t think there’s a logistical issue – it only took me 5-10 minutes to change, and my sister took my wedding dress home. Since I didn’t want to take my wedding dress on honeymoon (or DH’s tux, which had to be returned because it was hired), the alternative was to have someone pick them up from the honeymoon suite the next morning – and no way did I want that!
I think the dress in the photo is simple, pretty and classy.
