And I have an Emily too! Mostly lab.

ETA: Don't know why this one is so much smaller?
My parents have a basset hound (although I don't have any pictures of her on the computer). They are quite stubborn but super cute and loveable!
This is Simon (technically he is my mom's but we got him when I was in high school, so he's mine too.) 100% beagle, 100% adorable and 100% stubborn as a mule.

ahhh these pictures make me soooo happy! My dad used to raise bassett hounds and we dont have one anymore but I personally have 3 beagles that live with my parents!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them... they are the best dogs ever! Let me go look for a picture of my babies- Remington, Cruz, & Flash!
Found one of my Cruz! But I'm looking for the others! :)

I don't have pics, but my friends have a little beagle who I love, and my MIL has a basset hound who is....special
Beagles and bassets are my favorite breeds, so I'm dying to get one or the other or a mix! I love these photos. :)
@Lindsay05: What a beauty! If she ever has puppies, let me know!!!!
This is my (FI's) dog Steve... He's Beagle and sumthin... I think pointer

@CountryGirl80: Thanks! She did have 2 pups and my mom took both of them! And now she's fixed :(
@MrsMcGyro: haha..yes it's a beer bottle
Only a little obsessed with our girls... Mocha is the blue tick one and Rosy is the tri color. :)

I love all the pictures!! They're all so cute! I can't wait to get my little puppy.
She just sent me some pictures of my little guy... he's such a little cutie!
His spots on his back are so cute... they look like they have shadows!

we have a basset hound mix.. not sure what she is mixed with but we love her!
We have a purebred Basset Hound and we love her so much! We got ours as a 5 week old baby, she was a preemie and the only of her litter to survive & then her mom got sick and couldn't nurse so she was bottle fed. She's very spoiled but she's the sweetest girl!
Here's our Edie the night we got her & now.

@Cole B: Wow Edie was so tiny when you got her!!! I love her long floppy ears now!
@Emmanem: Edie weighed a quarter of a pound when she was born and was 2 pounds when we got her. We carried her everywhere! Now that she's 40+ she still thinks she should be carried!
Beagles are the best animals in the entire world! Great choice! Of course, this is a great choice only if you find dogs with strong personalities to be charming. You'll have to deal with a little noise, my two beagles go crazy anytime someone knocks on our door, but they'd never harm a soul. They can be unruly as puppies, crate your pup if you can stand it, or else you're bound to come home to something destroyed. If you put them in an empty room, they'll chew the walls. Lol, I am not kidding! They're notorious for separation anxiety, so just crate him when you leave home. Obviously, these little guys have it in their nature to chase down a scent trail, so there will NEVER EVER be any letting them roam around in an unfenced yard. They are escape artists. My two year old beagle has escaped many, many times. So, be really careful about that. Otherwise, they are perfect. They're loving, never aggressive, great with people and kids, and protective. If you've got a beagle, you'll always know if and when someone has entered your home. My beagles sleep in bed like humans. They literally get under the covers and lay with their head on the pillow. It is the sweetest thing! I'd post pics of my boys if I were not worried about revealing my identity. Everybody who knows me knows my dogs!
@Pinksapphire:OMG! My dog is soooo human I swear. He smiles. If im laying in bed he will get up dig the blanket to move it and then crawl under and go to bed. He cannot sleep without a blanket. He was a horrible puppy though. I wanted to give him away everyday hahah...hes just lucky hes so damn cute!! My dog didn't chew walls. Luckily we supplied him with a lot of chew toys and he learned no VERY quickly. My dog doesn't try to run because he likes to be near us every second. We live in the city and we have a small unfenced front yard. he will walk around and go on the sidewalk. He never runs away. If we say his name he comes. They are AMAZING with children. My 3 nephews would pull his ears, tails, etc and he would NEVER bite them. He never bites anyone.

Cletus is all basset. He's eleven, which might as well be 111 when you are a basset hound. He still chases ducks by the lake.
@Pinksapphire: Thanks for all the info! I think he's going to be a perfect fit for me and my fiance. We are definitely crate training him. I had a roommate in college who didn't crate train her dog and we cam home on a daily basis to a gigantic mess of destroyed dvd cases, glasses, books, and a long list of other things. Thankfully they all belonged to her but that experience has taught me crate training is the way to go.
I can't wait to bring him home... we decided on Shadow for his name because of the shadow effect of the spots on his back :)
above is xander when he was a baby and below is buffy when we were on a road trip. I love my dogs!
Our baby is half puggle (pug/beagle) and half yellow lab. I love him soooo much! Our neighbors rescued his entire litter from being put down by animal control... And I must say, he is the smartest, most loving, best behaved pup ever! At 6 months he has learned about 12 tricks/commands, but his favorite thing is to go swimming with his momma in the pool

So a coworker of mine has a friend who's dogs just had pups. They are beagle/basset hound mix and absolutely adorable. I am being beyond impatient in waiting to be able to pick up my puppy so show me some pics of your beagle or basset hound (or just cute pics of your dog) to help me get through my "waiting for my puppy" phase!
