The OBGYN nurse just called and said to go ahead and schedule my HSG with radiology. I called five minutes ago and the lady said the only time we can do it is today at 2pm. I’m so nervous and I have no idea why! Anything I should know before hand? I don’t want to hear about how painful it can be, that won’t help.

I have never had one, but I’m sending good luck your way!

Just expect to be uncomfortable. It’s similar to a gyno appointment except with a couple extra people. It’s been 17 years since I had one and things might have changed, mine was longer/more difficult because I have a tilted cervix.

Mine was more uncomfortable than painful- but I would suggest taking a couple of advil or tylenol before you go in- and have a heating pad handy when you get home (that’s what worked for me). The night I had it done felt like really bad cramps- I pretty much stayed on the couch and took it easy, but was ok the next day. Good luck!
