I have a black diamond ring we bought already set from a jeweler over the internet, it is a gorgeous ring but in the past 6 months of me being engaged..TWO diamonds have fallen out! So I took it to a good jeweler here and they told me there really isn’t much to be done to help fix the problem because it is a pre-drilled micropave setting that you can’t tighten or anything so it would be best to get a new setting.
So if anyone has any suggestions…it is a 5.12 carat black diamond measuring 9.72mm
I would love a halo, white gold and for it to show the length of the diamond from under the halo. Thanks bees!

I’d say the jeweler is right– those pre-drilled rings are often difficult to alter or improve. If it’s in your budget I’d recommend a new setting for such a goregeous stone.

I think you need to find out from your jeweler the type of setting will fit that black diamond. Or go to a jeweler or jewelery store that you want to use and have them show you the apporiate settings that will fit your stone. I didn’t pick a setting and a stone for my ring but I’d assume that they depth of your stone would have some say regarding the setting that will fit it.
