Has anyone had luck getting a refund from dressilyme? Wondering if there are certain top secret words or circumstances that would help. I just recieved my dress today and I am FREAKING OUT.
I ordered this dress: http://www.dressilyme.com/p-glamorous-lace-a-line-sweetheart-neckline-plus-size-wedding-dress-with-satin-bowknot-sash-16480.html on September 17 with custom sizing.
The dress actually started processing on September 23. I had a ship date of November 4 on the dress, with 2 day paid expedited shipping, giving them 40-41 days for tailoring and 2-3 days for shipping. Per their site, it should have been in tailoring for 20-25 days.
During the process I never once got an “in progress” shot that all other brides seem to get. I was expecting to get them at some point this week, as that would have been at the 25 day mark, but instead the dress was just boxed up and shipped.
When I got the dress today, there were some serious issues. I’ll post pictures tomorrow, but long story short, it’s 3 inches too short (even though I had my height hollow to floor measured by a tailor, and used the same measurements for a JJs house dress that fit fine), it has lace up over the edge on one bust cup but not the other, which both makes it look weird, but also makes one bust cup “fall in” as it doesn’t have the lace giving it structure. Plus tons of loose strings UNDER the mesh net lace top, so I can’t actually get to them and clean them up as well as a lopsided hem.
I’m not sure what to do. Wedding is Nov 17.

I never got In Progress shots from them until I made a fuss.
When they made my dress poorly I really pushed for a refund and they flat out refused. They did re-make my dress and I truly love the dress I have now, but it took over a month of back-and-forth conversation, dozens upon dozens of emails. I believe the only reason I made any headway was because I lodged a paypal dispute.

@tinatrying: I received my dressilyme dress too and when I asked about returns and pointed out all the details, they flat out refused as well. And I have no time to push them for anything else with my wedding on Nov 21.

After a week of back and forth and pictures, I have in a Facebook message from them that they were at fault, and they’re offering me a 40% refund. The thing is that since I have a mail from them admitting that the dress isn’t what is promised, I have a strong case on my international credit card to file a dispute and get the whole amount back in exchange for returning the dress.
I had actually asked them for a refund of $150 which was the cost a local tailor quoted to fix it, and if they’d done that, I would have been happy and walked away no problems.
I’m debating what to do, but so far I’ve found the way to get action with them is by publicly shaming them on their own Facebook page.

I received a Dressilyme dress as well. It was well-made and almost exact to my measurements, but it’s not what I wanted/expected. I heard that it’s hard to get a refund with them, so I’m just going to sell my dress online to someone who will love it.
