Why be passive about it? Ask him now where the other pictures are.
It sucks this has been such a source of stress for you.
I really hope there is another disc on it's way! They really did not do their job if the did not capture the main events of the reception! Keep us posted. I remember your other posts about this photog.
@MissACS, I want to give him at least one day before going after him, the one did arrive on saturday and I do know that these things can come at different times even if mailed at same time.
Tomorrow all bets are off.

Oh no! I'd be calling him up too! That's horrible. I really hope he is just unorganized and unprofessional. He may have realized later that he didn't include those pictures which is why he wouldn't of mentioned a second disc. If they took the pictures they should have them so don't stress YET. Gosh, I really hope it works out!
I tend to triage my photos, and eventually delete them (although I always try to keep a DVD of both RAW and processed photos, but I'm anal that way). I would contact your photographer ASAP and ask about the photos. He might not have the ones from the assistant yet, or he might not have liked them enough to include them. If it's the latter, then he might have gotten rid of them... I'd call sooner rather than later because pics take up SO much storage space, they really do need to be deleted. Good luck, and I'm sorry this has been so frustrating for you!
I bet the other disc is coming. They wouldn't bother wasting the film, right? However, if ALL of the missing photos were taken by the assistant, I would DEFINITELY call sooner than later. It could have been a total miscommunication on their part, and the main photographer may have completely forgotten when putting your pics together that there were more. Are all the missing photos taken after the main photographer left?
I have assistant pictures, but only up until the same time as the main photographers end.
Ok I just e-mailed him, I feel sick. I feel like I'm fighting and its so upsetting because I've made each payment on time and gave him no problems. I feel like crying.
@ aliciareneephotography if he didn't like them enough to include them, than I have no pro pics of my bouquet/ garter toss, or my cake cutting.
He just e-mailed me saying they should be on there.. he said he's checking. I feel sick.
Don't get too upset yet! They might just not have copied over correctly, or not have been selected, etc. It can happen! Hopefully everything will be fine. I'm very glad you contacted him, though!
Thanks Alicia so so much, he forgot to export about 200.. I feel so much calmer now. He's going to send them to me.

so glad you contacted him!! what a relief to know that he just made a minor error, and didn't completely screw you over! whoo hoo!
Yay! Oh, thank goodness. Again, I'm really glad you talked to him. I'd hate to see him think he exported everything, and then delete them! (That's probably why I keep the pics in about four places--I'm *so* scared to do something like that!)

I don't know what to do, I'm hoping this is a fluke and when I go home tonight everything will be ok.
I've posted a couple things about my photographer on here, and how he's kind of shady.
Well Saturday we recieved our photos. Some were great some not, and some really got me mad, like I paid thousands of dollars for THIS?!
Whatever, we def have enough to make a beautiful album. Here's the problem. We looked at the whole disc, over 1000 pictures. We get to the end and my DH goes wait where's the pictures of the candy buffet.
(our main photographer left mid reception, no where to be found and left his helper to finish up shooting our event.)
My DH and I both saw the assistant taking pictures of the candy buffet.
Than it dawned on me, the garter and bouquet toss are missing as well as the cake cutting. I know he took pictures of these things, I saw him

If not, i'm going to be so upset, I feel that he should have told me there were two discs or something or that he would contact me, he is so unprofessional and is really putting a lot of emotional strain on me by continuing to act like this. It's upsetting, I want to remember all the good stuff from that day and he's just like a black cloud hanging over me.
P.S. Still have to work with him to do our album. I'm not even looking forward to it.
Sorry so long, I just needed a place to freak out that wasn't at my poor husband.
