Getting close to the big day (2/23/13). In an effort to NOT talk my friends and families ears off, I’m taking to the Bee board to share a few thoughts on the topic!
My fiance and I feel like we did a good job sticking to our budget and our belief that we want things to be simple, but now that the big day is closing in, I’m trying to keep from second guessing the choices that we’ve made!
We sent the invites out before Christmas, but haven’t received alot of them back in the mail yet. Hopefully they keep trickling in over the next two weeks (we’ve received 32 out of 110 back).
Today at work I heard our first dance song on the radio and it brought the biggest smile to my face!
If you share the date, would love to hear how things are going for you!

We are Feb 23 too! Our invitations went out at the beginning of December to avoid Xmas mail… Our deadline was January 1 but I am giving people the benefit of the doubt until the 15th! I think we did a really good job of sticking to our budget as well… a few things were over but lots were under so we are pretty even!
I have a few DIY projects to get going at and a shower and staggette to attend! I am taking my dress to get it altered next week!
I hope everything is going well for you! Let me know if you need to stress out!

High five for budget sticking!
I do wish we’d sent our invites at the beginning of December as well, think it would have helped to get them back a little sooner!
We have our shower coming up and the staggette. We actually received a shower gift via ups last night from someone who can’t attend! That was like second Christmas!
Hope your planning is going well and vice versa if you need to stress out!

Yay 2/23 date twins 😀
We sent invites out on the 2nd, haven’t gotten any responses back but I anticipate getting a bunch next week (FI’s family is very punctual about that sort of thing) and my shower was yesterday. It was awesome, I felt so loved and my BMs are the best!
I still have to have final meetings with the florist, photog, and caterer, and once those are done come up with a day-of plan (mostly figured out except I want the photog’s imput on how much time he thinks he’ll need), and we have to mail out our song list packet for the DJ. I also have some DIY stuff I decided to do all last minute, but most of it isn’t critical (I’ll live if I have to buy a ring pillow from the store instead of making one) so I can drop it if I get too stressed. Actually, the only thing stressing me is the honeymoon, because we’re waiting to plan it until the start of Feb. FI has a good job lead, and we want to see if it’ll pan out before booking hotels and such, since if he’s starting a new job he won’t be able to take time off right away. I’m fine with delaying the honeymoon, I’d just like to know!

- Wedding: February 2013 - Mansion House at the MD Zoo
Hey date twins! 🙂 We sent invitations out the 2nd week of January and are still waiting on about 1/2. I never thought I’d get so excited about checking the mail. We have a final meeting with the photographer and DJ scheduled, final walk-through on the 30th with the venue and caterer, but we’re pretty much set. My bigget worries right now are figuring out a day-of timeline and order of how speeches, dances, etc will go at the reception. Oh, and who sits where. We have a few people/conflicts that we have to plan around. It’s very stressful….

@UsagiTsukino: We’ve also waited to plan our final honeymoon details until the beginning of February (mostly to see what the weather is like in different areas because it can be so unpredictable this time of year). Hopefully the good job lead will work out for you guys! That’s very exciting!
@SoontobeMrsBoo: Day of timeline’s seem harder then I thought they would be, I put a rough draft together and sent it to our DJ for their opinion and that made me feel a little better at how we timed things out (once they agreed it looked okay). On the people conflicts…boo. I remember reading something someone said about, “Your wedding being the greatest day of your life, until you invite other people to join your big day.” Something like that…lol…
Try not to let the stress get to you…worse case scenario…if people start getting out of hand on your big day…hide a spray bottle of water in the reception hall so you can mist them in the face like you would a misbehaving cat…haha.
I get to break my dress out of dress jail (alterations) this weekend. Very excited to see it again and to make sure nothing bad happened to it!!!
Keep calm twins! Only 44 days left!!!

39 Days ladies!
I took my dress for alterations this weekend! It was so fun to put it on again! I loved it just as much as when I bought it!
I really need to get going on all my little DIY projects! They are just waiting to be done and I am avoiding them because I think they will be fun so I want to enjoy them! (Which means I should do them soon so I’m not stressed). Plus all the little things I hadn’t thought about like day of timelines! Oh boy!
I have a shower the 9th of Feb and my sister (who lives in Australia) is planning my staggette for Feb 16. SO much to do!

This Saturday is the cut-off for RSVP’s and Sunday is the shower! Really excited about the shower! My mom has been working super hard to get it together and I think it’s going to be beautiful!
I’m overall just getting really, really excited!!!!
Hope everyone is doing okay with their planning!!!
