@AndysCraftsNmore:  I think you’ve described my style exactly. Right down to the chucks and hoodies!

I say wear what would be YOU so when you look at the pictures you see YOU. No one says that E photos have to be in a dress or in a flowery field. You’re already going against the norm and doing something that is YOU and your FI.

So wear what you would wear if you were going to that abandoned prison for a visit or tour with your FI. You should be comfortable in how you look and your pictures will refelct that.

I would definitely wear your chucks. Maybe some jeans and your favorite top!

Have you tried a belt to define your waist?  In the looks you posted on the other link, there are some cute sweater combos but I might add a belt.  And maybe an infinity scarf.

Adding that (in your link) I like row six, photo 5 … boots, sweater, skull scarf, jacket combo.

All I think you need is new boots and you have a few cute combos there. Scarf and matching jacket makes anything cute.

No .. not wide belt.  Narrow, skinny belt!

Shouldn’t you worry about how you and your FI’s faces look over how your boobs look?  (Trust me, this comes from a gal who is a 32A)

Ok, I have no idea how to dress myself. Sometimes I go into a store and ask a girl who works there to freakin’ help me. Maybe that’s a bit crazy but honestly I’ve found that can be really helpful when you’re in over your head.

Try some back skinny jeans, not leggings. Leggings do not shape the way jeans do. Make sure you have a good bra. Get a tidy shirt with a black blazer or black leather jacket that is tailored. Try some more dressy boots, as the chucks are very chunky and heavy.

I like the second one. I would switch out the jeans for a darker wash, skinny leg and boots. Add a scarf.

@AndysCraftsNmore: I think the right casual outfit can look really cute and authentic in engagement photos. I would not suggest the hoodie. But the middle shirt is cute, maybe a darker wash jean that is skinnier fit (like pp mentioned). The boots and scarf suggestion would be cute or you could still rock the chucks.

Do you have any brighter shirts you like? It’s fall, so the brown color might just blend with your surroundings (depending on where you take the photos).

I like these outfits that are casual.

I think with the location of your pictures…You can totally dress casual. Your e-photo’s are suppose to represent YOU…if you’re normal dress is dressed down…then do that. I would just make sure everything is neat and clean…obviously..right? LOL

I think you’re overthinking it too much…just my opinion.  Also…don’t let other’s opinions on how you should look drive you crazy…be you 🙂

@AndysCraftsNmore:  I like those outfits much better. I would however change out the chucks for the brown boots in your other post, but wear them inside the jeans so they don’t cut you in thirds or wear the flats.

The green thing is called a flyaway sweater.

Do you have a scarf that you could add you bring some color up around your face?

OK – you said it was going to be cold?  How about a cute jacket (thinking a cute pea coat in a a bright color) and a scarf with jeans and boots?

And, seriously, if you’re a hoodies and chucks kind of gal, what is wrong with that? Just be yourself!  If you’re comfortable in your clothes, you will look comfortable in your photos!

@AndysCraftsNmore:  I like the last two outfits in your previous post! I agree with PPs that if you want to wear the boots, wear them under your jeans. I think the chucks are cute too (I love fun sneakers).

Before our engagement pics, I looked at all the pics of girls in heels and cute sundresses and felt a little pressure to conform. I wear dresses for special occasions that require it, but never in normal everyday life. It’s just not me. In the end, I wore jeans and a sweater for our pics (no scarves, no fancy shoes), and I’m so happy I did. The sneak peeks we got came out great- we look comfortable and happy and like us. I would have been stiff and uncomfortable in a dress and heels, and I think it would have showed.

Don’t feel pressured to be someone you’re not. Wear something you like that makes you happy. Being happy and feeling confident will lead to amazing pictures. A glass of wine before the shoot doesn’t hurt either 🙂
