@NocturnalNymph:  I know how you feel.  I am in the process of having a custom ring made for my right hand.  The process started early May and the finished product should be in this week, hopefully.  Quality work just takes time but it will definitely be worth the wait.  Good Luck!  Laughing

@NocturnalNymph:  Remember, good things come to those who wait:) I’m sure the excitement is off the hook for you! Sorry you have to wait but I’m sure it’ll be worth it!  You have to post pics when they arrive! I’ve been through this waiting hell too.  My first custom setting gave me some trouble and I kept having to send it in for repair:( My husband decided it was time for another style so we had my rings custom made I waited 4 weeks but the jeweler made the setting in white gold instead of platinum. We sent them back:( Another four weeks of waiting. When I finally got them I realized my husband ordered me two wedding bands instead of one:) It was nice to be surprised and I love my rings! so glad we decided to change the setting the waiting was definitely worth it!

Couple this with guys who have ordered ering makes, then decided to move up their proposal date, and my wait time has blown out to ‘early August’.

I’m sorry. This has to suck. I just wanted to say that the above wouldn’t be ok with me as a customer. Your ETA shouldn’t change because of another customer’s decision. If they try to push it back again I would express my displeasure.

I understand your frustration with the delays, however, one thing to keep in mind also … You are making payments on it, thus it is not paid in full. And (I mean this as nicely as possible) jewelers aren’t “rent-a-centers”. You would not be able to walk out with the finished piece if it weren’t paid in full or a financing arrangement in place. If you want to push the date up or keep it in line with your goal of having it by a certain date, I would pay all of the cost in full and tell the jeweler you want/need it on X date. I am not saying it is right to keep pushing you back, so maybe next time you drop off a payment, let the jeweler know your concerns, and ask if having payment in full would help secure your delivery date.

Good luck!

I hate waiting also…:( I agree with some of the other posters too. I don’t think they should keep pushing your date back…if you were before them, your ring should be finished before also.

My rhr is being “repaired” right now and I miss it so much!! They told me 2-3weeks and I’m going on 2 weeks now…can’t wait till they call me to tell me it’s done.  I’m not patient when it comes to this stuff. LOL

Good luck! Hope your rings are done soon!

@AlwaysSunny:  +1 – so sorry those guys didn’t plan ahead but if my work order was put in first, my work should be DONE first.  Period.  This wouldn’t be okay with me either!

I completely understand how you’re feeling!

My ring was ordered and took 6 weeks to come in. Then when it came it didn’t fit so that took another 4 weeks because they had to remount it instead of sizing it. Now that I have it, it’s still a little big so I’m going to have to send it in again, which means I will be without it for yet another 3-4 weeks!
